Ruth´s Chris Opening Nets $7,000 for Wyoming Valley Children´s Association

DALLAS, PA- August 21, 2008—The Wyoming Valley Children’s Association (WVCA) was the benefactor of donations collected at two recent pre-opening VIP nights held at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, located inside Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Invited guests were asked to purchase a premier bottle of wine, which was placed at each table, for a $100 donation to the WVCA. The wine sale resulted in $7,000 in donations for the non-profit agency serving local families and their children.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is owned and operated by The Metz Group of Dallas, PA, a licensed Ruth’s Chris Steak House franchisee, which also owns and operates Wolfgang Puck Express in the food court at Mohegan Sun.

The primary mission of the WVCA is to provide therapy and early childhood education for children, age five or younger, who demonstrate developmental and neurological disabilities.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House will operate seven days a week, serving dinner Sunday-Thursday from 5PM to 11PM and Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 12AM. The restaurant bar will be open daily from 4:30PM to 12:30AM. The Metz Group employs 75 hourly and 5 salary individuals at the Steak House.
