Metz & Associates has made great strides in promoting healthier eating among the many guests we serve. Our newly developed HEALTHChecks program, which features a check mark next to menu items that meet nationally accepted dietary guidelines and can be considered healthy options, has been specially designed to help guests make proper nutrition choices. Our Wellness Friends school-based program is overseen by our carefully chosen and highly experienced Wellness Coordinator who focuses on making nutrition education and healthy eating an interesting experience through the use of age-appropriate educational programs and monthly promotions. Wellness Friends encompasses Metz programs such as “Nutritious Friends,” the introduction of different fruits and vegetables each month in menu items, special promotions and more; “Commissioner Nutrition,” a lovable bear who educates and investigates on the various aspects of nutrition through monthly stories; “Nutritious Friendly Snacks,” providing and encouraging healthy snacks; and “Wellness Education,” an array of age-appropriate educational programs. Our goal is to help students develop healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime.
